We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Mid-Level Associate Lawyer (4-8 PQE) to join a prestigious, top-ranked global law firm in their Insurance & Reinsurance team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated lawyer to work on cutting-edge matters, advising both UK and international clients on a broad spectrum of corporate/M&A, regulatory, and restructuring issues within the insurance sector.

Main Duties

  • Advise on a wide range of non-contentious matters, including group reorganizations, insurance distribution agreements, (re)insurance policies, cyber risk, and collateral arrangements.
  • Work on restructuring and corporate transactions, including M&A, for high-profile insurance and reinsurance clients.
  • Provide regulatory advice, including guidance on the Senior Insurance Managers Regime, corporate governance, and the UK run-off approval process.
  • Assist major international (re)insurers with the reorganization of their operations and group structures in response to Solvency II requirements.
  • Advise on cross-border insurance business transfers, including experience in the UK, EU, and international markets.
  • Support clients with intra-group reinsurance management and the disposal or acquisition of subsidiaries, conducting change of control analyses and regulatory filings.

Your Profile

  • 4-8 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) within a highly regarded insurance, reinsurance, or regulatory team at a law firm.
  • Solid experience in corporate transactions, M&A, restructuring, and regulatory issues within the insurance industry.
  • Strong understanding of the Solvency II framework and other key insurance regulations.
  • A proactive and commercially focused approach with the ability to handle complex transactions independently.
  • UK or Common Law Qualified.
