Our Client, a high performing alternative asset management firm, is looking for an experienced mid-level employment counsel to join the team in its London Headquarters. This is a high-impact, commercially focused role supporting a multi-jurisdictional business across the UK, US, Europe, and APAC. The position sits within a lean, collaborative team and offers significant responsibility and exposure.
The Role
- Provide day-to-day employment law advice to senior stakeholders
- Manage grievances, investigations, disciplinaries and terminations
- Support and oversee Employment Tribunal matters
- Draft and update employment documentation and contracts
- Coordinate with external counsel across multiple jurisdictions
- Contribute to process optimisation and legal tech initiatives
The role is advisory-led, with increasing exposure to contentious matters as the business scales.
Candidate Profile
- c. 5–10 years’ PQE in employment law
- E&W-qualified preferred - open to other common law jurisdictions too
- Strong advisory experience, ideally with some litigation exposure
- Comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced environment
- Commercial mindset with strong stakeholder management skills
- Interest in legal technology and AI tools advantageous
- Must have a strong academic background
- In-house experience in Financial Services, Technology, Big Data or AI firms is beneficial but not essential. Candidates from strong private practice employment teams will also be carefully considered.
