A leading US law firm, is seeking an ambitious mid-level Associate to join the Private Funds arm of their thriving, top-level UK Corporate Tax practice in London.
Position Overview
As a Corporate Tax Associate, you will play a crucial role in advising a stellar client list of leading investment managers, major private-equity players, and both institutional and private equity investors on the tax aspects concerning the formation, structuring, and investing activities of major domestic and international private funds. Your expertise will contribute to the firm\’s success in delivering market-leading advice and best-in-class tax structuring solutions on complex, high-value international deals.
Responsibilities

Advise on the tax aspects of private funds, including private equity, venture capital, infrastructure, real estate, and credit funds

Provide guidance on carried interest and co-investment structuring, management buy-outs, and spin-outs

Assist major fund managers and large cornerstone investors with GP-stake transactions, GP-led secondaries, and fund restructurings

Collaborate with top-ranked European, US, and international practices on complex, big-ticket deal mandates

Deliver market-leading expertise and best-in-class tax structuring and planning advice
Requirements

2-5 PQE UK Qualified lawyer with relevant experience in corporate tax law, particularly in the context of private funds

Strong technical skills and a keen understanding of tax aspects related to fund formation, structuring, and investing activities

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clients and colleagues across jurisdictions
