A leading international law firm, is seeking a skilled Corporate Insurance Associate to join their dynamic and highly regarded insurance practice in London. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced lawyer to work on a wide range of complex insurance transactions and develop their expertise in this specialist field.
Position Overview
As a Senior Associate within the firm\’s corporate insurance team, you will play a key role in advising clients on a broad spectrum of insurance transactions, including public and private M&A, Part VII transfers, cross-border deals, portfolio acquisitions, and specialist transactions. You will also provide guidance to insurance companies and their boards on corporate governance matters, listed company issues, and equity capital markets transactions.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on a wide range of insurance transactions, including M&A, Part VII transfers, and specialist arrangements
- Provide expert guidance to insurance companies and their boards on corporate governance and regulatory matters
- Manage and oversee the due diligence process and navigate complex regulatory processes associated with corporate insurance
- Stay abreast of legal developments affecting the insurance industry and attend relevant training sessions
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships and actively contribute to business development efforts
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members and share knowledge and expertise with colleagues
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with excellent academic credentials and relevant post-qualification experience in corporate insurance law
- Strong technical skills and a deep understanding of the legal principles and regulatory framework governing the insurance industry
- Proven track record of advising on complex insurance transactions and delivering high-quality work to clients
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to oversee transactions from start to finish
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
- Proactive and solutions-oriented approach, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure
