Our client, a prestigious international law firm, is seeking a Restructuring and Bankruptcy Associate to join its London team. The successful candidate will be England & Wales qualified and bring between NQ to 4 years’ PQE. Role
You will work across a full spectrum of restructuring, insolvency, and special situations matters. The position offers exposure to a diverse and sophisticated client base, including major financial institutions, sponsors, and corporates. The role involves advising on intricate financing structures, distressed situations, and multi‑jurisdictional proceedings.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising on restructuring and insolvency mandates involving multiple jurisdictions and diverse counterparties.
- Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing documentation relating to bank financings, high‑yield bonds, and intercreditor agreements.
- Supporting clients through restructuring‑related court and out‑of‑court processes.
- Taking on responsibility early, managing workstreams, and coordinating with both internal teams and external advisers.
Candidate Profile
- England & Wales qualified from an international law firm, with between NQ and 4 years’ PQE. NQs will need to have completed a seat in R&I.
- Demonstrated expertise in restructuring, insolvency, and special situations.
- Practical experience with key financing products, including syndicated loans, high yield instruments, and complex capital structures.
- Strong legal drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle responsibility from an early stage.
