Role Overview

Our client’s Finance and Restructuring team in London offers a compelling opportunity for an Associate qualified in England and Wales, with 2-5 years PQE who is seeking exposure to high-value, cross-border transactions in both developed and emerging markets. Working alongside a collaborative and highly regarded team and led by a Partner who is recognised across multiple leading directories, the group advises on a diverse spectrum of financing structures, with particular strength in complex and challenging jurisdictions.

Practice & Clients

This practice is involved in some of the most sophisticated financing and restructuring mandates globally, acting for a mix of international banks, alternative credit providers, sponsors, sovereign entities and multinational corporates. The team regularly handles multi-jurisdictional deals involving project finance, sovereign lending, and distressed or special situations. With mandates spanning North America, Asia-Pacific, Africa and Europe, the work is commercially complex and often high-stakes.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting and negotiating loan documentation and intercreditor arrangements
  • Assisting on debt restructurings and special situations mandates
  • Managing multi-jurisdictional deal execution and local counsel coordination
  • Engaging directly with clients as part of lean, hands-on deal teams

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be qualified in England and Wales and have gained 2-5 years\’ PQE within a leading US or UK law firm. Strong technical capability in finance law, excellent commercial judgement, and a solution-oriented mindset are essential. A collaborative approach and an appetite for complex, high-impact work is key to succeeding in this environment.
