Rutherford Cross is delighted to be partnering with a long-established, high-growth manufacturing business to appoint a Management Accountant. In the last 5 years, the business has seen over 300% growth in revenue through a mix of organic expansion and M&A activity. This is a fantastic opportunity for a suitably qualified accountant to join one of Scotland’s most successful privately-owned businesses.

Ideally we are looking to engage with fully qualified accountants, or qualified by experience/part-qualified (provided the experience is relevant), who have a strong track record of producing high-quality work and are ready to take the next step in their career. This role sits at the centre of a growing finance team and offers real exposure across a broad range of responsibilities, including business partnering and systems change. With the ongoing success of the company and investment in Finance, there is an opportunity for long-term progression.

The Management Accountant will report to the Group Financial Controller and be based at the head office in Larbert. A major focus in the short term will be supporting the testing and implementation of a new ERP system across the UK business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts across multiple entities
  • Balance sheet and P&L reconciliations
  • Fixed asset register maintenance and capital expenditure monitoring
  • Cash flow forecasting and monitoring
  • Assisting with budgeting and quarterly forecasting
  • Ensuring compliance with financial controls and policies
  • Supporting year-end audit and liaising with external auditors
  • VAT Returns, PSA and QIP submissions to HMRC
  • Month-end processes, including sales and purchase ledger oversight
  • Stock reconciliations, valuations, and wastage analysis
  • Supporting the rollout of new Finance systems and continuous process improvements
  • Preparing financial analysis to support decision making
  • Supporting the Group FC and FD on ad-hoc projects and business initiatives

This is an office-based role in Stirlingshire, working 37.5 hours per week.
