We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join a growing business, operating as part of a wider international group. This is a handsâon and operational role suited to a proactive selfâstarter who enjoys working in a dynamic, fastâpaced environment and taking ownership of the finance function. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the Finance Manager will be responsible for the full accounting activities of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong financial controls, and timely delivery of key management information to the wider group. This role is hybrid, being onâsite three days per week in the East of Edinburgh, and can also be offered on a partâtime basis. The role will offer ÂŁ300 per day via umbrella and is a 6âmonth contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the full accounting function of the company
- Accounts Payable postings and management of supplier payments
- Bank postings and bank reconciliations
- Accounts Receivable reconciliations and oversight of customer balances
- Management and reconciliation of deferred income
- Monthâend close and reporting, ensuring deadlines are met
- Preparation of KPI and financial reporting for the wider group
- Posting and reconciliation of salary payroll journals
- Support operational teams with financial insight and reporting
- Maintain accurate records and ensuring compliance with group processes
About You
- Experienced Finance Manager or Senior Accountant with strong endâtoâend accounting knowledge
- Handsâon, proactive and selfâmotivated with the ability to work independently
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, operational business environment
- Strong Sage experience
- Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyse and present financial data
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and nonâfinance stakeholders
