Rutherford Cross is delighted to be supporting our long-term client in the appointment of an Interim Senior Management Accountant for a 12-month contract. This role offers an attractive package with good hybrid working arrangements.
Internal Reporting:
- Month-end reporting, including preparation and ownership of all working papers
- Prepare and post journals to the ledger, including month-end journals such as biomass and stock entries, accruals, and prepayments
- Publish month-end analysis with commentary
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register
- Capex reporting and lease accounting (including ROU leases under IFRS)
- Prepare the Group consolidation under IFRS
- Collaborate with the Management Accountant to ensure ownership of the P&L and support their development through feedback
External Reporting:
- Respond to ONS Questionnaires
- Handle audit queries directly
- Manage insurance and biomass submissions to SSPO, Crown Estate, etc.
Support to Manager:
- Address ad hoc internal and external queries
- Understand ex-cage costs, mortalities, and biomass movements
- Implement process improvements, including reducing month-end timelines
- Identify and flag control issues and errors in reported numbers
- Prepare statutory reporting and disclosure schedules
Business Support:
- Collaborate with site teams to resolve issues and suggest improvements
- Promote business partnering
