Overview
Rutherford Cross is delighted to be supporting its key client to appoint an Interim Finance Manager on a 12-14 month FTC. This role ensures accurate and timely financial reporting for Group and statutory purposes, covering two core business segments. It requires strong analytical skills, stakeholder engagement and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead month-end close, including financial analysis and commentary
- Prepare key journals: bad debt provisions, accruals, prepayments, intercompany and bank reconciliations
- Support delivery of insightful management reporting and presentations
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes with stakeholders
- Manage short-term cash flow and working capital reporting
- Perform timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations
- Act as a trusted partner to divisional directors and senior management
- Oversee monthly VAT reconciliations and ensure correct VAT treatment
- Lead and develop a small finance team
- Manage audits for assigned legal entities
- Improve processes and strengthen internal controls
- Collaborate with the Group consolidation team to ensure compliance
- Provide ad-hoc support to senior finance leadership and participate in projects
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with strong academic and analytical background
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in month-end close and financial reporting
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS preferred)
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Commercially aware and able to work independently
- Experience with general ledger systems; Dynamics 365 is a plus
