Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning, development and delivery of audits
- Perform tests of controls and financial statements audit work on a variety of clients
- Assist in the drafting and clearance of audit recommendations
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with client staff
- Gather audit evidence through a variety of procedures; evaluate the findings and discuss with the audit team and client staff
- Conduct data analysis using appropriate techniques to answer audit questions and present findings with clarity
- Assist with audit fieldwork and summarise evidence and analysis to identify key themes and make audit judgements
- Interpret and follow audit and technical guidance to carry out your work in line with requirements and regulations
The Ideal Candidate
- Public sector accounting/audit experience
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, stakeholders and colleagues
- Good Excel skills
- Available at short notice
