Private Capital Tax Assistant Manager | Glasgow
Rutherford Cross is delighted to be supporting a leading UK professional services firm in the search for a Private Capital Tax Assistant Manager to join its growing team in Glasgow.This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified tax professional to work with a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses, private equity-backed companies and larger corporate groups across a broad range of compliance and advisory matters.Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will manage your own client portfolio, oversee corporate tax compliance requirements and support the delivery of a wide variety of advisory projects. The role offers significant exposure to clients, opportunities to build long-term relationships and the chance to contribute to the continued growth of a high-performing tax practice.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients across a variety of sectors
- Preparing and reviewing corporation tax compliance work
- Supporting the delivery of advisory assignments, including transactions and financing projects
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders
- Supervising and developing junior team members
- Working closely with Partners and Directors on complex client matters
- Identifying opportunities to enhance client service and support business development initiatives
To be considered, you should:
- Hold a professional qualification such as ACA, ATT or CTA
- Have experience working within a corporate tax environment
- Possess a strong understanding of UK corporation tax legislation
- Demonstrate experience managing client relationships and tax compliance portfolios
- Be an effective communicator with strong organisational skills and commercial awareness
