Rutherford Cross is pleased to be supporting an established organisation in Glasgow with the appointment of an Assistant Finance Manager for 6 months to support a busy finance function. This individual’s primary responsibility will be to manage the completion of the audit file.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing the audit file, ensuring tasks are completed to deadline and audit queries are resolved efficiently
  • Supporting the monthly management accounts process, working closely with senior finance colleagues
  • Preparing and reviewing balance sheet and income & expenditure reconciliations
  • Liaising with external auditors and internal stakeholders across the business
  • Assisting with process improvements within the finance function
  • Providing hands on, ad hoc finance support, including journals and transaction processing as required

The Ideal Candidate

  • Part Qualified or QBE finance professional with strong audit and reconciliation experience
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Highly proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Available to start at short notice
