Rutherford Cross is working with an established international manufacturing organisation looking to appoint a Financial Accountant to join its finance function. This role sits within the financial accounting team responsible for delivering high-quality financial, management, statutory, and tax reporting for a portfolio of entities within the group. This position plays a key role in period-end processes, fiscal compliance, audit support, and cross-functional collaboration. The position requires flexibility during month-end and year-end periods, as well as regular communication with local management teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely statutory and management accounts in line with group and legal requirements
- Deliver monthly financial submissions to Group Finance for consolidation
- Manage all fiscal and tax compliance obligations for assigned entities
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring strong internal controls and policy adherence
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and promptly resolve discrepancies
- Monitor cashflow, prepare forecasts, analyse FX exposures and liaise with Group Treasury
- Perform monthly Opex analysis and highlight potential issues
- Collaborate with Supply Chain Finance to maintain full oversight of trial balances
- Provide insight and financial support to local leadership to inform key business decisions
- Contribute to continuous improvement and best practice across the global finance function
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CA preferred)
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Highly organised, self-motivated and capable of managing multiple tasks
- Excellent interpersonal skills
