Rutherford Cross is working with its client in the education sector near Glasgow to appoint an Interim Director of Finance for an initial 3-6-month period.

  • Strategic and operational leadership of the finance department and team responsible for timely external financial reporting.
  • Overseeing the preparation of statutory accounts in line with accounting standards and liaison with external auditors.
  • Leading on annual planning and budgeting and ongoing financial performance monitoring.
  • Ensuring robust financial controls and governance frameworks as well as effective risk management processes and controls are in place.
  • Finance strategic planning and operational planning to meet financial targets aligned to the organisational strategy.

You will be a fully qualified accountant and a highly experienced Finance Director, having worked at board level within a medium or large complex business. Open to individuals from both within and outwith the education sector, you will have excellent team leadership skills and also have a flair for identifying and implementing improvements in processes, systems and data.
