Rutherford Cross is working with a high-profile Glasgow based organisation to recruit an Assurance Advisor to join its Finance Division, supporting the delivery of a high-quality, integrated assurance service across the Group. This is a great opportunity for someone with internal audit or assurance experience who enjoys working across a complex organisation, engaging with senior stakeholders, and helping to strengthen governance, risk management, and performance.
Reporting to the Head of Assurance, you’ll play a key role in delivering internal audit and assurance reviews, contributing to performance reporting, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement. You’ll work with a high level of autonomy, planning and delivering reviews, identifying risks and control gaps, and working with managers to develop practical solutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver internal audit and assurance reviews in line with the Group assurance plan
- Assess controls, risks, and performance across group-wide activities
- Produce clear, insightful reports and present findings to senior stakeholders
- Support the development and implementation of the Group’s risk management framework
- Promote continuous improvement and best-value outcomes across the organisation
About you
You’ll bring experience in internal audit or assurance, strong analytical skills, and the confidence to engage constructively with colleagues at all levels. You’ll be an effective communicator who enjoys solving problems and helping organisations improve.
Required experience includes:
- Internal audit or assurance experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to evaluate systems and identify improvements
- Experience working with senior managers
