Permanent Finance Director (Part Time or Full Time) with our SME client with operations in Ayrshire, Glasgow, and Greater London. This is a new role created due to growth after recent acquisitions and the role could potentially be undertaken 3, 4 or 5 days per week depending on the applicant's experience and background.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial planning of the business
  • Driving financial performance, managing risk, and supporting sustainable growth in a regulated financial services environment
  • Preparing monthly and annual statutory accounts to meet IFRS and UK GAAP
  • Presenting financial results and strategy to investors, regulators, and the board
  • Reconciling, controlling, and managing client funds in a secure and timely manner
  • Developing and delivering financial strategies in line with the firm's objectives and regulatory environment
  • Providing financial insight to support strategic decision making, new product launches and M&A activity
  • Leading the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes
  • Delivering insightful financial reporting and KPIs to the Board and leadership team
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies
  • Liaising with external auditors and compliance teams to maintain robust financial governance
  • Managing the receipt and reconciliation of payments from customers and to clients
  • Overseeing the implementation of financial systems and processes
  • Leading and developing a high-performing finance team
  • Business Partnering with business unit leaders to embed financial discipline and accountability

To apply, you will be a fully qualified accountant experienced at board level having previously held a Finance Director, CFO or Head of Finance role. A background in Financial Services would be advantageous such as banking, insurance, asset management, fintech or an FCA regulated firm. This role could be based in Ayrshire or Glasgow. Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 p.a. plus bonus and benefits.
