Rutherford Cross is working with an organisation to recruit a Qualified Auditor on a 1-3 month contractual basis. Our clients' offices are based across Edinburgh and Glasgow and they have a hybrid approach to working.
The Candidate:
You will deliver complex financial, performance and best value audit work. You will make audit judgements, contributing to the planning, development and audits. You will interface with clients and stakeholders, providing assurance which helps support improvement and focus upon what’s important.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to planning, development and delivery of audit work, supporting the production of outputs to agreed cost, timescales and quality standards
- Conduct audit fieldwork, evidence gathering and analysis using appropriate techniques to answer audit questions
- Assist with designing fieldwork activity, e.g. developing interview schedules and other audit tools
Knowledge and experience required:
- You can think laterally and creatively to research and analyse complex problems and recommend practical solutions
- You will have well developed analytical skills and the ability to convert analysis into clear judgement along with the ability to contribute to the drafting of audit reports
- Use accountancy, financial management, research, information gathering and analysis skills
- Use data analysis tools, for example Excel
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
