This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified or qualified by experience accountant looking to broaden their management accounting exposure within a fast-paced and growing FMCG environment. Working as part of a high-performing finance team, you will gain hands-on involvement in month-end reporting, management accounts preparation, financial analysis and balance sheet control, while maintaining responsibility for key transactional finance activities. As a valued member of the finance team, you will play a key role in supporting month-end processes, financial reporting and business performance analysis, while ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day finance operations. Key Responsibilities: Management Accounts & Month-End Reporting: Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, working closely with the wider finance team to meet reporting deadlines and deliver accurate financial information Accruals & Prepayments: Prepare monthly accruals and prepayments, ensuring financial results are reported accurately and in line with accounting principles Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Complete and continuously improve detailed balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and integrity across the financial statements Sales Analysis & Reporting: Partner with Finance, Sales and Supply Chain teams to analyse sales performance, identify trends and support forecasting and decision-making Intercompany Accounting: Manage intercompany reporting and month-end reconciliations, liaising with group entities across the UK and Europe to ensure balances are aligned Fixed Asset Accounting : Maintain the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals and depreciation, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures Accounts Receivable : Manage customer invoicing and work closely with Sales and Customer Support teams to resolve queries and maintain strong cash collection performance Accounts Payable: Process, verify and pay supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies Reconciliations: Perform customer and supplier statement reconciliations, investigating and resolving any variances promptly Aged Debtors & Creditors Management: Review and analyse aged balances, proactively following up on outstanding items and supporting effective working capital management Skills & Experience: Part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA), actively studying, or qualified by experience Strong understanding of management accounts preparation, month-end processes, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments Confident analysing financial data and translating findings into meaningful business insight Previous experience within an FMCG, manufacturing or fast-paced commercial environment Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across operational and finance teams Professional and discreet approach to handling commercially sensitive information Remuneration: Up to Β£35,000 Study support For more information on this role, please contact Ally Deas at Rutherford Cross.
