Job Description

Rutherford Cross is delighted to be partnered with an established and values-driven organisation is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance function at a time of continued growth and development. This is a unique opportunity for a part-qualified accountant to gain broad exposure across month-end processes, budgeting, and stakeholder reporting, within a organisation that prioritises long-term impact and reinvestment into its core mission.

This role would suit someone with a grasp of management accounts and financial controls, looking to deepen their experience in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and support budgeting cycles
  • Assist in grant and funding reporting, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements
  • Support year-end processes including audit preparation and liaison
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Act as a finance point of contact for non-finance teams and key stakeholders

Ideal Candidate:

  • Part-qualified accountant (AAT/ACCA /CIMA)
  • Experience in a similar finance role within industry, the public sector, or a charity
  • Strong Excel and financial systems skills
  • Confident communicator with a proactive mindset
