The Role

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals to live independently, safely, and with dignity. This is a hands-on and rewarding role suited to individuals who are empathetic, resilient, and committed to maintaining high standards of care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Person-Centred Care
  • Provide tailored support in line with individual care plans
  • Promote independence, choice, and inclusion
  • Assist with daily living tasks including personal care, meal preparation, and mobility support where required
  • Support with medication prompts (in line with training and policy)
  • Monitor and report changes in physical or mental health
  • Encourage engagement in social and community activities

Behaviour & Emotional Support

  • Support individuals who may present behaviours of concern
  • Apply de-escalation techniques where required
  • Maintain a calm, professional approach in challenging situations

Professional Standards & Compliance

  • Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and infection control procedures
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times

  • Previous experience in a support or care role (preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A caring, patient, and resilient approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and nights if required
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
