Are you an experienced Private Client Tax professional with a strong background in UK and international tax issues? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking and ambitious professional services firm, working directly with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families with complex cross-border tax affairs. You’ll be part of a specialist team advising clients on UK and international personal tax matters including residency, domicile, trusts, offshore structures, and succession planning. The role offers significant autonomy and direct client contact, with the chance to build long-term relationships while delivering practical, tailored tax solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of international private clients, providing high-quality tax advice and compliance services
- Prepare and review UK self‑assessment returns, including complex disclosures, foreign tax credits and double tax treaty applications
- Advise on UK and international tax planning, including residency and domicile, offshore trusts, corporate structures and property structuring
- Support clients with HMRC enquiries, settlements, and voluntary disclosures
- Advise on succession planning, inheritance tax, and exposure of international estates
- Liaise with trustees, family offices, lawyers, and overseas advisers to deliver joined‑up solutions
- Keep up to date with UK and international tax developments and share insights with colleagues and clients
Requirements
- ATT, CTA or ACA qualified (or part‑qualified with relevant experience)
- 3–4 years’ experience in personal tax, ideally with exposure to non‑doms and international clients
- Strong technical knowledge of UK non‑dom taxation, remittance basis, mixed funds and offshore structures
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex issues clearly to international clients
- Proactive, client‑focused, and able to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail
