Overview
Are you an experienced Senior Management Accountant who is looking to join a high-growth, family run business renowned UK wide for their product, service and employee retention. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to get involved in a number of high-profile projects around system implementations, process improvements & commercial decision making.
Responsibilities
- Prepare & produce monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Analyse financial performance against budget and forecast; provide variance analysis with insightful commentary.
- Collaborate with department heads to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.
- Produce key performance indicator (KPI) reports and dashboards for operational and financial metrics.
- Support the Finance Director in financial planning and strategic analysis.
- Reconcile key balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
- Maintain and improve financial systems and processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist in preparing year-end accounts and liaising with auditors during the audit process.
- Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
- Drive process improvements across the finance function, particularly in cost allocation and job profitability reporting.
Requirements
- Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar management accounting role.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, well-organised, and able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
