I am currently recruiting for a Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Manager to join a well-established and growing organisation based in Essex. This is a site-based role with occasional site visits.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage all aspects of health, safety, and environmental compliance
- Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and internal audits to ensure legal and regulatory compliance
- Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and training programmes across the workforce
- Drive continuous improvement in safety culture and environmental performance
- Investigate incidents and near misses, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
- NEBOSH
- Proven auditing experience
- Solid experience in a HSE management role within manufacturing, engineering, construction or similar
- Strong knowledge of UK Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and best practice
- Excellent communication, leadership, and influencing skills
- A proactive, hands‐on approach to improving safety culture and compliance
- £40,000 – £50,000 annual salary, depending on experience
- Company pension scheme
- Holiday plus Bank Holidays
