The client is a well-established, leading firm of chartered accountants and business advisors in Cambridge who work with local, larger corporate companies and businesses trading overseas. Responsibilities
- 70% of the time planning audit engagements and leading onsite teams
- 30% of the time preparation of accounts and drafting tax computations
- Communicating with clients to address queries, referring more complex issues to the manager or partner as necessary
- Conducting a review of team members’ work prior to submitting the final file to the manager
- Mentoring juniors and providing feedback on work quality and performance
- Controlling assignment time in line with pre-determined budget
Requirements
- Part qualified ACA or ACCA
- Experience of undertaking statutory audits in an accounting practice in the UK
- Client facing experience
- Knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS 102
- Experience of audit software (client uses CaseWare) and Microsoft packages
