Are you looking to gain your first role within finance? Our client is a well-established business based in Maldon going through a period of transformation. They are looking to recruit an Interim Accounts Assistant to help support the day-to-day activities of the business to aid the transition.
Responsibilities:
- Process and accurately input supplier invoices onto the finance system, ensuring correct coding and supporting documentation to maintain an organised and up-to-date purchase ledger.
- Assist with regular payment runs, preparing payment schedules, reconciling supplier balances, and ensuring invoices are processed in line with internal approval procedures.
- Maintain organised financial records through effective filing and document management, ensuring invoices and related paperwork are stored accurately and easily retrievable.
- Provide general administrative support to the finance function, including answering incoming calls, responding to queries, and assisting colleagues with ad-hoc administrative tasks.
- Support the wider team with routine finance and office administration to help ensure smooth day-to-day operations and timely completion of month-end processes.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accountancy and Finance or similar
- AAT Study
- 1 - 2 years experience in a similar role
