Are you an experienced finance professional with a strong background in AR/AP and a knack for juggling responsibilities across multiple entities? We’re working with a dynamic, international business at the heart of its industry, currently undergoing a period of significant growth. They’re looking to add an Accounts Assistant on a 12-month fixed-term contract to support two of their UK-based entities – including a manufacturing operation and a treasury function. With hybrid working (3 days in the office in Victoria), exposure to both AR and AP functions, and the opportunity to work closely with a high-performing finance team, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone confident in their accounting processes and ready to hit the ground running.
What you’ll be doing:
- Owning accounts receivable tasks including customer reconciliations, aged debt reporting, and payment allocations
- Taking responsibility for accounts payable – supplier invoice processing, statement reconciliations, and managing payment runs
- Handling month-end duties including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting support
- Collaborating with other finance and operational teams to ensure clean and compliant data
- Contributing to ongoing process improvement and automation initiatives
- Maintaining accurate financial records for internal and external reporting
The ideal candidate:
- Has solid experience in an AR/AP or finance assistant role
- Is confident using accounting software
- Is comfortable working across multiple entities or within a group structure
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Brings a positive and proactive mindset, able to communicate clearly with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders
- AAT qualified or working towards it would be a plus
The package:
- £40,000 - £45,000 base salary
- 12-month fixed-term contract
- Hybrid working – 3 days in the office (Central London)
