Are you looking to progress your career in the construction sector? This Financial Controller role could be a stepping stone to a Finance Director. As the Financial Controller of our construction client, you will manage the financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance. You will be responsible for management reporting, ensuring accurate financial statements, and providing financial input for decision-making. Therefore, the role will give you a good blend of being in the day-to-day but also work on the strategic plan of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver a range of financial reporting to senior stakeholders
- Develop and manage budgets for construction projects, forecast financial performance, and track actual costs
- Cashflow management
- Mentor and develop the finance team beneath you
- Analyse a range of financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks
- Provide input into various projects, business partnering with various divisions of the business
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations
Requirements:
- Relevant accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
- Significant residential or commercial construction experience
- Strong reporting background
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communicator who can influence at all levels
