Are you an experienced Tax professional looking for a role where you can take ownership of a client portfolio, build strong relationships and develop your technical tax expertise? A well-established accountancy practice in Ely is looking to appoint a Tax Senior to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong personal tax experience who wants to take on more responsibility across client management, compliance and advisory work.
Responsibilities
- Preparing Self-Assessment tax returns, including detailed Capital Gains Tax computations and property income schedules
- Preparing and submitting 60-day Capital Gains Tax returns and assisting with IHT100 forms for trusts
- Managing and developing your own portfolio of clients, acting as a key point of contact and building long-term relationships
- Liaising directly with business owners and clients, providing clear explanations and identifying opportunities for additional services
- Providing technical support to colleagues and assisting with ad-hoc tax advisory work
- Monitoring the progress of tax returns and ensuring deadlines and payments are managed effectively
Requirements
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice, with a strong background in personal tax
- Good knowledge of Self-Assessment, Capital Gains Tax and wider personal tax matters
- ATT / CTA / ACA / ACCA qualified, studying towards a qualification or qualified by experience
- Strong communication and client management skills, with excellent attention to detail
