Job Description:
Are you an aspiring trainee accountant looking to gain more experience of management accounts? This opportunity would be an ideal role for someone AAT qualified or looking to study for ACCA or CIMA. A great and well-supported environment with a business which is looking to grow. With their plans, this role will develop over time and take further duties of the current Financial Controller.
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
- Maintain and update the general ledger.
- Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Reconcile discrepancies found in records.
- Reconcile customer and supplier statements.
- Prepare monthly financial reports for management.
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns ready for manager review.
- Process invoices and ensure timely payment of bills.
- Monitor and follow up on accounts receivable.
The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of transactional finance. You will also have some understanding of assisting with management accounts. Study support is available for the successful candidate.
