Our client is looking for an experienced Interim Head of Finance to join their Senior Leadership Team for an initial 3–6-month period. This role is a priority and requires a start date within the next two weeks.
Responsibilities:
As an Interim Head of Finance, you will:
- Drive daily financial operations, ensuring effective leadership and continuity.
- Manage financial accounts, budgets, forecasts and cash flow.
- Present clear, accurate financial reports and commercial insight to the Board and Senior Leadership Team.
- Enhance financial controls, systems and reporting procedures.
- Contribute to financial strategy, business modelling and key commercial decisions.
- Oversee the financial performance of current services, new projects and growth initiatives.
- Guide and develop the finance team, focusing on key priorities and improvements.
- Partner with operational managers to build financial awareness and drive better performance
Requirements:
As an Interim Head of Finance, you will need:
- A recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA).
- Extensive senior-level finance experience, preferably including interim roles.
- Background in adult social care, healthcare or other regulated, multi-site organisations.
- Strong financial knowledge covering management accounts, cash flow, forecasting, controls and statutory reporting.
- Ability to quickly identify priorities and risks, providing effective, practical solutions.
- Proven experience engaging with senior leaders, Boards and key stakeholders.
- A flexible, proactive approach, with the ability to balance strategic oversight and hands-on delivery.
