Responsibilities:
As a sales estimator you will…
- Manage the full estimating process, from initial enquiry through to accurate and commercially competitive quotation.
- Interpret technical drawings and project specifications to determine pricing and requirements.
- Source and negotiate costs with existing and new suppliers, working closely with procurement where required.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, responding to enquiries professionally and promptly.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, supporting wider sales and business development activity.
- Attend customer meetings, site visits and industry events to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities.
- Maintain strong commercial awareness, attention to detail and product knowledge, ensuring work is accurate and delivered within agreed deadlines.
Requirements:
As a sales estimator, you will need…
- Ideally 1-3 years previous experience in an estimating, pricing or commercial role
- Experience within construction, manufacturing or a related industry would be beneficial, but not essential
- Ability to interpret technical drawings
- Strong numerical and commercial awareness
