Seeking an experienced CNC Setter / Operator (Turning) to work at a modern manufacturing company in South Nottingham. You will be responsible for operating and setting CNC Turning machines using Fanuc and Mazatrol controls. Β£37k to Β£43k (dependent on skills) Plus Shift Premium - 10% on Afternoon shift hours Company Bonus Scheme (up to 5% of annual salary) 25 Days Holidays plus bank holidays Modern, clean facility Access to onsite gym and Subsidised canteen Shifts: Rotating Mornings and Afternoons Week 1: Monday to Thursday 6am to 2pm, and Fri 6am to 1pm Week 2: Monday to Thursday 2pm to 10pm and Friday 1pm to 8pm Key responsibilities of CNC Setter / Operator: Set and operate CNC Turning Machines Adjust machine controls (Fanuc and Mazatrol) and tool settings to keep part dimensions within specified tolerances Work from CAD designs and specifications to complete various machining operations using information such as dimensions, tolerances, quantities, and any special instructions Responsible for own quality using CMM and shadowgraph machines Alter offsets according to SPC results Participate in Lean / Six Sigma activities and other process improvement activities CNC Setter / Operator Knowledge and Skills Required: Good knowledge of CNC Turning machines and ability to set up tooling and programmes Ability to use measuring equipment and interpret drawings Ability to use simple gauges or instruments Working knowledge of maths in a manufacturing environment Ability to work well in a team environment Experience of working with Fanuc and Mazatrol controlled CNC machinery (desirable) If you have the required skills and qualifications for the CNC Setter / Operator role and would relish an exciting challenge, please apply or contact Stuart Cooper to discuss in further detail.
