Join a market leading food manufacturing company operating in a modern, high-tech production facility in Skelmersdale in a Days based role! We are seeking Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers to support a growing engineering team. If you have strong electrical or mechanical skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this role could be a great fit for you and offers real career progression opportunities.

Hours:
Total 42 hours across 3.5 days per week: 3 x 12 hour Day shift (06:00 – 18:00) aligned with site engineering shutdowns + additional 6 hours alternating Wednesday and Friday each week 07:00 – 13:00.
Key responsibilities of Maintenance Engineer:
- Deliver hands-on engineering support to keep production running smoothly
- Perform both reactive and planned maintenance on plant and equipment
- Keep maintenance records up to date using our CMMS system
- Work closely with production to meet daily performance goals
- Follow safety and repair best practices at all times
- Contribute to continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives
Qualifications / Experience required of Maintenance Engineer:
- Time-served/apprenticeship-trained engineer
- Relevant engineering qualifications (C&G/NVQ Level 3 or ONC/HNC preferred)
- Strong mechanical or electrical skillset
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Positive, proactive mindset and a team player
