A Staffordshire based food manufacturing company are looking to recruit a multi skilled Maintenance Engineer for their production facility in Lichfield. As a multi skilled Maintenance Engineer you will be part of a shift of 3 engineers to provide engineering support to the production area for reactive and proactive maintenance of plant, equipment, and any auxiliary systems. The site is part of a group of sites/businesses across the UK / Europe. Due to a recent change in the senior engineering team, lots of positive change is occurring and developing a fully embraced culture where everyone's opinion counts and will be listened to.

Role: Multi skilled, ideally electrically biased (mech biased with good electrical will be considered) Panama shift – Days and Nights (12 hour shifts) 7-7

Key responsibilities of Maintenance Engineer:

  • Assist team to work towards maximum plant and equipment efficiency so downtime is minimised
  • Ensure planned engineering tasks are delivered on time and in full
  • Ensure good repair / manufacturing practices and procedures are followed
  • Ensure completion of planned maintenance documents / CMMS
  • Work closely with production staff to achieve daily targets
  • Contribute to cost reduction initiatives to drive efficiency and process improvements

Experience and skills required of Maintenance Engineer:

  • Qualified maintenance engineer with C&G's or NVQ Level 3 or ideally ONC / HNC level
  • Multi skilled, electrically biased with some mechanical skills / experience
  • Apprenticeship trained
  • Proactive attitude to solving issues and supporting production
  • Must have food sector experience
