Production Shift Manager in Leicester

Are you an experienced Production Shift Manager looking for a role where you can lead people, take ownership and make a real impact?
We're recruiting a Production Shift Manager for a global food manufacturer at its largest UK manufacturing facility in Leicester. You'll lead a team of approximately 50 people, taking responsibility for safety, quality, people and operational performance within a large-scale manufacturing environment.
Salary & Benefits c£45,000 basic salary
23.5% shift allowance – approximately £56,000 annual earnings
7.5% annual bonus

Shift pattern: 12-hour shifts – 4 days on, 4 off, 4 nights on, 4 off.
Key Responsibilities: Production Shift Manager Lead, coach and develop a frontline team of approx. 50 employees.
Maintain high standards across safety, quality, GMP and operational performance.
Manage attendance, conduct and individual performance.
Develop team capability through coaching and regular one-to-ones.
Use operational data and structured problem-solving to improve performance.
Take ownership of shift decisions and support continuous improvement.
About You Food manufacturing experience is not essential, but FMCG or similar is required.
You'll need at least 3 years' experience directly managing frontline teams , with strong people management, coaching and problem-solving skills.
