An Independent and successful food manufacturer is seeking an experienced multi-skilled Lead Maintenance Engineer / Team Leader to work on a 4 on 4 off Days & Night shift pattern. This is a great opportunity to join a profitable, stable and growing business that continues to invest in their brand, site, and people.

As Lead Maintenance Engineer, you will be managing 2 other Engineers on your shift to ensure safety compliance, workload prioritisation, and quality standards.

Salary: c£47k + Up to 5% Bonus

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off 12 hour Days & Nights

Will suit engineers who live in South Nottingham, North Leicestershire, or Melton Mowbray area.

Key responsibilities of Lead Maintenance Engineer:

  • Manage, guide, and mentor your team
  • Ensure high-quality production output is achieved through effective maintenance
  • Use PPMs to ensure minimal downtime
  • Monitor processes and equipment, report variances, and take corrective and remedial action
  • Communicate malfunctions to relevant people or departments
  • Respond to unplanned maintenance breakdown events
  • Complete engineering project work as required for installation and modifications to equipment and processes

Experience and skills required:

  • Qualified maintenance engineer with C&G's or NVQ Level 3 or ideally ONC / HNC level
  • Multi-skilled, mechanical and electrical skills / experience (ideally electrically biased)
  • Ideally apprenticeship trained
  • Proactive attitude to solving issues and supporting production
  • Food manufacturing experience would be very advantageous
