A sector-leading electronic technology company is looking to appoint a Technical Sales Manager to support the growth of their Sensors product range across the UK. This is a high-impact, customer-facing role focused on developing new business and growing key accounts within a technically advanced and fast-moving market. As Technical Sales Manager, you will be joining a well-established organisation with a strong reputation in the electronics sector, offering innovative, application-led solutions to a diverse customer base. The role is home-based with UK-wide responsibility. A central England location would be ideal to enable efficient travel when required.
The Role of Technical Sales Manager
As Technical Sales Manager, you will take ownership of developing sales opportunities across both existing and new customers. This is a consultative, solution-led sales position where you will act as the key interface between customers and internal engineering, manufacturing, and project teams. While much of the role is conducted via phone, email and virtual meetings, you will also attend customer visits, exhibitions and key meetings when required.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Developing new business opportunities within the electronics / sensors market
- Managing and growing existing customer accounts
- Identifying customer requirements and matching them to technical solutions
- Building and maintaining a strong sales pipeline
- Supporting product specification and application discussions
- Acting as the link between customer and internal technical teams
- Maintaining accurate CRM records and sales activity reporting
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in B2B technical sales
- Experience selling electronic components, ideally sensors or related technologies
- Ability to understand and communicate technical solutions
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated, with the ability to manage your own territory
- Engineering qualification (HND / Degree) desirable
