Reporting to: Training Coordinator Lead

Responsible for: Supporting and advising schools with their training needs and managing diaries of over 140 trainers around the UK

Place of work: London Head Office (currently working to a hybrid arrangement)

Hours of work: 8:30am-5:00pm (with 1 hr for lunch)

Contract: permanent, full time

Ruth Miskin Training provides training to schools in the UK and internationally on Read Write Inc. Phonics and other literacy programmes. We are passionate about teaching every child to read and keeping them reading.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Book training for primary and secondary schools in the UK
  • Discuss training requirements with schools, advising on the most suitable training for their needs
  • Negotiate training dates with schools and trainers
  • Answer email and telephone queriesfrom schools and trainers, in a timely and professional manner
  • Become fully knowledgeable on all Read Write Inc. programmes, packages and pricing
  • Help manage diaries for 160+ trainers around the UK
  • Work with the Accounts team on invoice queries and package conversions
  • Support Training Coordinators with queries, bookings and other tasks as needed across Regional Training, Multi-Academy Trusts and international schools
  • Be willing to lead on specific tasks if the opportunity arises
  • Carry out general administrative tasks as requested by the Training Operations Manager and Training Coordinator Lead

Desirable:

  • Customer service experience, including answering telephone queries
  • Knowledge of the UK education system
  • Proven administrative skills – efficient in planning, organising and prioritising

Skills and qualities required for this role:

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with customers and all levels of management
  • Excellent telephone manner with all customers, giving friendly, helpful advice and service
  • Ability to work under pressure with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with colleagues and representatives from Oxford University Press
  • Proficient IT skills – Word and Excel; database experience; minimum typing speed of 40wpm
