We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Senior Client Accountant to join a growing Accounting Services team in Jersey, where you will play a key role in maintaining and managing the day-to-day accounting functions, making a significant impact within our global operations.
Key Responsibilities
- You will be the main contact for external auditors and work to strengthen relationships with clients, internal teams and service lines.
- Review the work of bookkeepers and prepare annual financial statements and management accounts for your portfolio of clients.
- Manage daily accounting tasks for a range of Global clients.
- Assist with audit preparations, including VAT returns.
- Track and monitor the preparation of financial information.
- Ensure accuracy with routine month end / quarter end management accounts preparation for a portfolio of clients.
- Proactively identify process improvement and service line development opportunities.
- Carry out all aspects of the role in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and controls.
- Support and mentor junior team members and take on additional tasks as needed.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- We are seeking a qualified accountant with strong numerical and analytical skills coupled with a proactive mindset.
- Proven experience in client accounting or accounts preparation, along with a diligent and organised approach to work.
- Client-facing experience.
- Knowledge in Real Estate, Private Wealth, Corporate, or Debt Capital Market accounting environments is desirable but not essential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office packages.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
