The Role
As our Lead Marine Engineer, you will lead the engineering works of new yacht builds, commissioning projects and marine system installations. You will also be involved in occasional refit and maintenance projects. You will organise and co‑ordinate day‑to‑day engineering activities across multiple builds, helping to plan work from initial system requirements through to commissioning and handover. Working closely with engineers, production teams and the company buyer, you will ensure systems, materials and components are correctly specified, available on time and installed to the highest standards.

- Interpret technical drawings, manuals and documentation
- Liaise with the buyer regarding parts, materials and procurement requirements
- Carry out fault diagnosis and practical problem‑solving
- Complete quality checks throughout the build process
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety and cleanliness
About You
To be considered as our Lead Marine Engineer, you will need good practical knowledge across a range of yacht systems, including:
- Engines, stern gear, fuel systems, rudders and steering systems
- Fresh water, grey water, black water and bilge systems
- Electrical systems, batteries, charging and distribution
- Marine electronics and navigation equipment
- Pumps, seacocks, plumbing, heating and associated onboard installations

- Strong practical marine engineering experience
- A broad understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and electronic systems on boats
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in high‑quality workmanship
- The ability to support, guide and communicate clearly with other engineers and departments
