About the role:

Leading a team of Production Operatives to ensure the timely and accurate grading and fulfilment of customer orders, you will be the key point of contact for the Production Foreman / Operations Manager in overseeing operational procedures to maintain a high level of efficiency and quality within the department. Supervisors will oversee training for new and current team members while acting as mentors for new and junior members of the team.

Managing the day-to-day operations within the production team ensuring a safe and effective work area in line with Russwood’s ISO, H&S, Continuous Improvement/LEAN requirements. Oversight to ensure each Production Team delivers the quality product required by Russwood. Ensuring efficient stock management with minimised waste. Responsible for ordering team consumables and ensuring all tools and equipment are kept in good working order. Responsible for servicing and maintenance tasks as required depending on area of responsibility. Responsible for full and detailed servicing and maintenance records for all departmental machinery.

Production Supervisor - Team management including, but not exclusive to, carrying out performance reviews, supervision of team holidays and attendance, overseeing team training including product and process knowledge and applying company capability and disciplinary action in line with Russwood company policy. Team Lead – daily order management, query management, ensure 3s, health & safety and all Russwood SOP’s are followed.

About you:

You will have experience working within a production environment with a comprehensive knowledge of the relevant machinery and H&S requirements. You will have strong communication skills for liaising internally with the wider production team and with other departments as appropriate whilst ensuring clear communication with your team in regard to company updates, priorities, and changes. As a supervisor, you will be an adaptable team player with the flexibility needed to support the wider team to meet business priorities. You will be a confident decision maker who is seeking continuous improvement in your own and your team’s performance. You will be confident in the use of IT allowing you to use Russwood’s internal IT systems.

Salary and benefits:

Annual Salary starting from £32,929 based on experience. 42.5 hours per week Monday – Friday based from our Newtonmore Production Facility. Russwood have a generous employee benefits package based around our 5 core values:
