Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Java Developer / Electronic Trading Specialist to join a high-performing E-Fixed Income Technology team. This role focuses on building and optimizing low-latency, high-performance electronic trading systems, with a strong emphasis on TransFICC connectivity and real-time trading workflows. You will work on mission-critical trading platforms used by front-office stakeholders, contributing to both ongoing platform optimization and future architecture evolution in a fast-paced, delivery-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and enhance a high-performance E-Fixed Income electronic trading platform
- Drive adoption and optimization of TransFICC connectivity
- Identify and resolve latency, throughput and scalability bottlenecks
- Apply low-latency design patterns, including lock-free and object-free programming paradigms
- Ensure full testing of new releases (unit, regression, system integration)
- Collaborate closely with Traders, Quants, Financial Engineers and Business Analysts
- Manage technical interactions with external electronic market venues and internal connectivity teams
- Provide 3rd-line support for production systems and continuously improve service quality
- Influence platform architecture, capacity planning, and performance monitoring strategies
Requirements
- Extensive experience in Electronic Trading systems
- Strong Core Java expertise with object-oriented design
- Minimum 8 years’ experience working with trading systems
- At least 5 years in electronic / e-trading environments
- Deep understanding of FX or E-Fixed Income trading workflows (RFQ, pricing, algo trading, STP)
- Strong experience with:
- Multi-threading and concurrency
- Performance profiling and tuning
- TCP, UDP, Ethernet, HTTP
- Experience building fault-tolerant, performance-critical systems
- Infrastructure as Code exposure (e.g. AWS, Ansible)
