Title: Public Policy Manager

Duration: Until the end of November

Location: UK Remote

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the team\'s goals to drive company alignment on global content regulation strategy and policy to positively influence regulatory outcomes.
  • Monitor and research current and emerging regulation issues related to digital content and keep relevant teams and leadership informed of trends and developments.
  • Support the team\'s response to regulatory developments impacting the company (e.g. legislative analysis, messaging development, and advocacy strategy).
  • Manage, coordinate, and participate in cross-functional engagement across the company – including with policy, operations, legal and other teams – to identify priorities, align client\'s content regulation workstreams against priorities, and track progress in achieving content regulation goals.
  • Communicate orally and in writing to internal and external stakeholders client\'s positions and policies, industry best practices, and global trends related to content regulation.
  • Meet client\'s expectations while maintaining vendor\'s unwavering standards for honesty and ethics, earning clients\' respect, trust and confidence.

Qualifications:

  • Masters\' Degree in law, policy, communications human rights or relevant areas;
  • Seven to ten years of experience engaging or working in public policy or government institutions, such as government agencies, independent regulators, legislative bodies, or in think tanks, NGOs, or advocacy roles.
  • Relevant work experience in internet technologies, security, privacy, integrity, safety, content moderation and the surrounding policy environments, ideally including emphasis on freedom of expression.
  • Policy stakeholder engagement and advocacy experience, including both oral and written communication
  • Experience in project or program management that includes cross-functional collaboration domestically and/or internationally.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on sensitive topics and responsibly manage sensitive material and relationships.
