Project Associate – Clinical Development StrategyLocation: White City, London

Contract Duration: 12 months

Job Purpose: The Project Associate (PA) supports the strategic planning and execution of cross‐functional clinical development initiatives. Working closely with Clinical Development leaders and key stakeholders across functions, the PA enhances project efficiency, drives alignment, and contributes to the successful delivery of high‐impact programs. The role requires strong project management and analytical skills, with the ability to support change initiatives and process improvements within the clinical development space.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning, Coordination & Delivery

Support the design and delivery of strategic clinical development projects, ensuring plans, timelines, and key deliverables are well‐defined and tracked.

Monitor progress, flag risks or issues, and proactively support decision‐making to keep initiatives on track.

Maintain project dashboards, reports, and governance materials to support senior leadership reviews.

Cross‐Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

Facilitate coordination between clinical, regulatory, data, and operations teams to ensure alignment on project goals.

Prepare and lead project meetings, workshops, and working sessions, ensuring clear communication, documentation, and follow‐up on actions.

Act as a central point of contact for project communications, fostering collaboration and transparency across teams.

Governance, Change & Process Improvement

Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of project frameworks, governance processes, and tools.

Support initiatives related to organisational change, process optimisation, and efficiency enhancement within Clinical Development.

Ensure project documentation and reporting meet compliance and quality standards.

Data, Research & Insights

Conduct background research and data analysis to inform project decisions, benchmarking and best practices.

Create clear, structured content and presentations (e.g. PowerPoint decks) to communicate updates and insights to stakeholders.

RequirementsEducation

Bachelor\’s degree in life sciences, business, public health, or a related field.

Experience

2–3 years of experience in project management, consulting, or clinical development within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.

Demonstrated ability to manage or support strategic and cross‐functional initiatives.

Exposure to change management, governance setup, or PMO processes is an advantage.

Solid understanding of the drug development lifecycle and clinical trial processes.

Skills & Attributes

Strong organisational, analytical, and project management skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint).

Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast‐paced environment.

Curious, detail‐oriented, and delivery‐focused, with a proactive mindset.

(Desirable) Experience with AI tools or digital systems supporting clinical development.
