Scope of work and deliverables:
- The Monitoring Specialist, Broadcast Operations will be responsible for monitoring Live broadcasts across the company's family of apps, troubleshooting and escalating issues as they arise, and working closely with key stakeholders to ensure the successful onboarding and execution of Live broadcasts for premier partners.
Services Needed:
- Monitoring of top-tier Live broadcasts
- Troubleshooting and escalation of issues
- Communication with Technical Analyst and engineering teams
- Review, triage, and investigation of problems (initial root cause analysis)
- Establishment and maintenance of strong cross-functional partnerships with key stakeholders
- Management of key projects independently from initiation through completion
- Proactive identification and mitigation of risks in project execution
- Provision of visibility to all deliverables, timelines, and issues through frequent status updates

Technical Broadcast Knowledge: Strong understanding of streaming technology, traditional broadcast technology, and Live streaming fundamentals.
Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Ability to troubleshoot and escalate issues as they arise, and work with Technical Analyst and engineering teams to communicate and mitigate or resolve issues.
Communication and Collaboration: Ability to establish and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships with key stakeholders, including Engineering, Operations, Production, and Partnerships.
Adaptability and Flexibility: Willingness to work in fast-paced and dynamic environments, and flexibility in scheduling, including occasional overtime hours or time in lieu.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in video content operations, broadcast operations, entertainment or related industries
- Experience at a studio, media company, in post-production, social media, and/or at a video platform
- Must be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and exhibit a thorough understanding of automated technology, traditional broadcast technology, and Live streaming fundamentals
- Willingness to deep dive in the technical broadcast contribution pipeline: Path (redundant, diverse), transcoding settings, captions / subtitles, etc.
- Understanding of the Live broadcast environment (i.e., switching and routing knowledge, network monitoring and troubleshooting, etc.)
- Understanding or relevant experience with streaming and re-streaming software
- Experience in fast paced and dynamic environments
- Experience working on a large cross-functional team
