This role sits within a high-profile, fast-growing private markets platform focused on venture and growth equity, operating in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment with strong senior-level visibility.
The RoleThis Director-level position will lead business, fund and portfolio operations, playing a critical role in shaping and scaling the operating model. You will manage a small, high-performing operations team and partner closely with global Finance, Operations, Technology and Legal & Compliance stakeholders. The role is hands-on, fast-paced and well suited to someone who enjoys driving change while maintaining rigorous operational standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop a specialist operations team responsible for quarterly business performance reporting
- Own and enhance the operating model across fund, portfolio and management company processes
- Oversee end-to-end fund operations in partnership with fund administrators (capital accounts, waterfalls, fees, reporting and audits)
- Coordinate the quarterly valuation process and annual audit cycle
- Act as a senior operational advisor to investment teams, supporting deal execution and investment committee processes
- Drive change and transformation initiatives, including new fund launches, structures and geographies
- Champion technology, data and automation to improve efficiency, controls and reporting
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership and clients
- Extensive experience within asset management or private markets, with broad exposure to operations, finance and investment management
- Strong technical accounting background with solid knowledge of IFRS
- Proven experience leading teams and scaling complex operational platforms
- Highly analytical with advanced Excel and financial modelling interpretation skills
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, high-growth environment with multiple priorities
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills at senior level
- Qualified accountant with a degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related discipline
