Are you an experienced Lead HR Business Partner with a strong background in organisational restructuring, redundancy planning and implementation, and large-scale people change programmes? Do you thrive in complex, fast-paced environments where strategic HR expertise, stakeholder management, and effective programme delivery are essential to achieving successful organisational transformation? If so, this could be an exciting opportunity for you!

We are seeking an experienced Lead HR Business Partner to join a specialist people change team within a leading organisation. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with senior stakeholders, subject matter experts, programme leadership, workstream managers, and external service providers to support the delivery of a significant organisational change programme involving the movement of roles across departments and associated employee exits. You will coordinate a core team of specialists, ensuring the programme progresses effectively from initial design through to implementation and closure, while adhering to established change governance, timelines, budgets, and programme objectives. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in restructuring, redundancy planning and delivery, and broader people transformation, alongside strong stakeholder management and programme coordination skills. You will be instrumental in bridging the gap between HR subject matter expertise and programme governance, ensuring sensitive people-related changes are delivered effectively, compliantly, and with the appropriate level of care and confidentiality.

  • Swindon/London, UK
  • Attendance at London or Swindon office will be required on a weekly basis

Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of the restructuring programme, from initial planning, design and business case development through to employee engagement, implementation and closure.
  • Manage and support programme managers while coordinating a team of subject matter experts to ensure effective programme delivery.
  • Identify and resolve project challenges, working closely with senior leadership, programme management and PMO teams to maintain progress.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, represent the programme at senior governance meetings, and ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience leading large-scale restructuring projects and delivering complex people-related change programmes within large organisations.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation relating to redundancies and restructuring, with practical experience implementing these changes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to produce clear reports, deliver presentations and work collaboratively in a flexible environment.
