Contract: Temporary (ASAP – 2 to 3 months, with potential to apply for permanent)

Hours: 39 hours/week: Mon–Thurs 07:00–16:00, Fri 07:00–12:00

About the Role

We’re looking for a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to support a fast-paced internal manufacturing site. Your role will be key in keeping machines, electrical systems, and factory facilities running safely, efficiently, and without downtime. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Carry out electrical & mechanical maintenance, repairs, and installations
  • Diagnose and fix electrical faults (with some mechanical work)
  • Deliver planned preventative maintenance to reduce breakdowns
  • Support engineering projects and site improvements
  • Ensure all work meets Health & Safety regulations
  • Work closely with the Engineering Team Leader and wider team
  • Manage and oversee external contractors and vendors
  • Drive continuous improvement and lean engineering initiatives
  • Keep records and documentation up to date

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong electrical fault-finding skills
  • Experience with preventative maintenance schedules
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on improvement and reliability
  • Comfortable working in a team-driven, safety-first environment
