Overview
We are seeking an experienced People Business Partner to join a high-pressure, fast-paced environment, providing short-term cover within a dynamic People & Culture team. This is a hands-on role requiring immediate impact, strong stakeholder engagement, and extensive Employee Relations expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a high-volume ER caseload (~25 cases) including misconduct, grievances, and complex workplace issues
- Support and coach managers through formal HR processes
- Contribute to Employment Tribunal (ET) cases
- Partner with senior stakeholders, providing strategic and operational HR support
- Lead regular stakeholder meetings, delivering insights and case updates
- Ensure continuity of HR services and support ongoing culture initiatives
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as an HR/People Business Partner
- Strong hands-on Employee Relations experience in complex environments
- Experience supporting Employment Tribunal processes
- Ability to manage sensitive and high-risk cases confidently
- CIPD Level 7 (or equivalent experience)
Desirable
- Background in legal, law enforcement, or public sector environments
- Experience in smaller organisations
- Familiarity with Oracle HR systems
